hi there i totally agree the speed camera issue (mainly mobiles ) is a joke ! Tom tom either dont care or cant be assed to sort it out to me they have totally lost credability regarding this problem . I picked up a speeding fine from a non detected mobile on the A27 2 weeks ago largely due to this problem . I have used various models of tomtom units for 20 years so i am familiar with all the settings etc , but as i drive 40 000 a year i am considering going back to a Road Angel for speed camera data as i know they actually work !

Have you considered PocketGPSWorld.com?

I'm late getting in on this topic, but count me in..  I think that the failure of obtaining an audience for this discussion is attributed to the resignation of the xnv owners.  They (we) have pretty much given up on a satisfactory product from Sony and especially TomTom.  I've never been so disappointed in a product!

TomTom : from when the previous owners (who had found TomTom) sold the company to this new "only business company" Tom Tom is no more the grate TomTom.

Once on a time it was number one, now is number... last!!!

Also iGO overcame it!

Few days ago I purchased the "Caravan and Camper" unit for 399 euro : bad choice! No real road info for Camper!

Maps are several years old! They want only save money, they don't want invest!

So, from now on, no more TomTom!
